Our Matcha Essentials Gift Set has everything you need to prepare and enjoy Matcha at home.
Inside our gold gift box, this set includes our White Snow & Teal Brushstroke matcha bowl (chawan), bamboo whisk (chasen), bamboo scoop (chashaku) and a 20g tin of Organic Matcha from Kyoto’s Marukyu-Koyamaen.
Bamboo items are not dishwasher safe. Rinse with plain water (no soap) and air dry completely prior to storage.
To prepare matcha:
Place two bamboo scoops, or about 1 tsp. (1 1/2 to 2 grams), of matcha powder into the matcha bowl. Add 2 – 3 oz. of hot water (167-175°F or 75°C). Hold the bamboo whisk vertically just above the bottom of the bowl. Whisk vigorously in a zig‐zag motion for about 30 seconds until the tea is frothy. Gently break up any large bubbles on the surface with the whisk.
